These terms govern your use of Website Monitor, operated by DevCraftKit. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy, are the whole agreement between you and DevCraftKit about the service. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Website Monitor checks websites and APIs you choose, records the results, detects incidents, sends notifications and lets you publish status pages. Its features are described on the Monitoring and Status pages pages and in the documentation.
Features and limits, such as the number of monitors, the shortest check interval, history length and the number of status pages, depend on your plan and are enforced by the service. If we offer paid plans, the price and billing terms will be shown to you before you are charged, and will not apply unless you accept them.
You may only add a URL if you own it or have permission to monitor it. Each check sends real requests to that address from our servers. You are responsible for making sure the frequency you choose is acceptable to the owner of the target, for any consequences of those requests, and for the accuracy of the status information you publish.
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, do not use the service to attack, probe or overload any system, to reach internal or private addresses, or to break the law.
We work to keep the service running and your checks on schedule, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. A check shows what our monitoring server saw at that moment from one location, which may differ from what your users see.
Notifications depend on third-party email and network infrastructure and on your own settings and endpoints. They can be delayed, filtered or lost. Do not rely on Website Monitor as the only safeguard for systems where an undetected outage could cause injury, serious loss or damage to property.
The service uses third-party providers, for example for email delivery and hosting, and you may connect your own endpoints. We are not responsible for those services, for the websites you monitor, or for content you link to from a status page.
You keep ownership of what you put into the service, including monitor details and status page text. You give us the limited right to store, process and display it as needed to provide the service, including publishing status pages you make public. You are responsible for that content and promise that you have the right to use it and that it is not unlawful, misleading or infringing.
DevCraftKit owns the service, its software, design and branding. These terms give you a right to use the service, not to copy it, resell it or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end access, and pause monitors, if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after termination will do so.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the service will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, or for loss caused by a missed, late or incorrect check or notification. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may change the service and these terms. When a change to the terms is material we will give notice in the service or by email before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
